Science vs Religion

I'm not here to offend anyone, just to force my opinions on you. Please at least think about them.


So, if this is to be my musings, then the logical place to start is with religion. I'll admit I ponder over this quite often.
I don't understand how so many of the population can believe that there is a "God" or some kind of greater being out there, when there is so much evidence, perhaps not against the existence of God, but proving that science and "The Big Bang" created the Universe. How can people argue that God created the earth and everything on it in, what was it? 6 days? When we have a fossil record of such proportion that it dates back further than 540 million years ago.
Some people may argue that these fossils show the creations of God at that time, but they argue against rock-solid proof that these hard- bodied organisms have evolved from single celled organisms, well before God supposedly created the earth 6000 years ago. I don't see how people can believe this when the evidence dates back millions of years beforehand.

However, Christian's have a complete faith in their religion, something I find ridiculous, but at the same time am slightly jealous and in awe of, that they can so blindly have complete faith in something with no proof whatsoever. How can they possibly do that? With all the evidence against them, they still completely believe that their God is out there for them. The only "proof" they have is the bible.
And the only thing I have to say about that is " How many animals do you know that can talk?"
In all the bibles that exist, the snake says to Eve " You will surely not die."

Animals cannot talk. This is a proven fact. If they could talk to us, we would certainly know, and from this we can conclude that the snake, in fact, did not talk to Eve, and the Bible cannot be telling the truth. So, I ask you this: If the Bible lies once, how much more of it is a lie, if not all of it?

I leave you with this, think of all that Science has ever done for you, the technological advances and the comfy lifestyles we lead and then think of everything God has done for you, make your own decision of which is superior, but I certainly believe that Science has made the world what it is today.
